Pricing Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing Frequently Asked Questions

  1. When does my 30-day free trial start?

Your FREE TRIAL starts when you first set-up your FREE TrainingDepartment.com site. You can then take as many courses from the TrainingDepartment.com libraries as you wish, assign as many students as you want, at no charge. You can even use the Authoring and Administration tools to create and distribute your own courses. After your 30-day FREE trial, we'll ask you if you want to continue using all the FREE TrainingDepartment.com features and tools. If you do, you'll only be charged $10 per registered student per month, period.  [Return to Top]

  2. Is there anything else I pay for?

All the TrainingDepartment.com tools, libraries of courses, products and services are included FREE with your basic monthly user fee of $10/month per user. The only other charges that could possibly be added would be the rare occasion when a single user requires more than the 20MB of storage space included with each registration, or when you have a custom course that is much larger than typical. In those cases, there are low cost space options at $2.50 for each additional 20MB of extra space needed.  [Return to Top]

  3. When do I start paying, and what is the cost?

Your first billing will start as soon as your FREE TRIAL period ends, and will always fall on the same date every month. For example, if you first started using TrainingDepartment.com on October 26th, you would be able to use it FREE until November 26th. Your billing date would then automatically be the 26th of each month, and your first billing period would be for November 27th -December 26th. Remember, you only pay the low monthly fee for the total number of individual Registered Users on your TD.com system during that period. Everything else is FREE.  [Return to Top]

  4. How are monthly charges billed?

Monthly charges are billed to your organization by invoice, or billed to your credit card, on your monthly bill date for the previous period. You are only billed for the number of users that were Registered at anytime during that period. If you had 35 Registered Users on your TrainingDepartment.com system, your billing would reflect $350 for that period. Everything else is FREE. Payment is due upon receipt of these invoices.  [Return to Top]

  5. What about Registered Users who cancel, or who try to cancel and re-register. Am I billed for them?

No, you would not be billed for the current period, if they canceled before the period started. If they were Registered Users on your TrainingDepartment.com site for any days during the previous period, even if it was only one day, they will be included in the previous billable period. In otherwords, Registered Users can't jump off and on your TrainingDepartment.com site within the period to avoid being accounted for. But at only $10 per month, with unlimited access to all the libraries, courses and tools as much as they want, most Registered Users realize that doing so doesn't make much sense anyway.  [Return to Top]

  6. What are the payment options?

For our U.S. customers we can send an invoice to you, or you can have your monthly Registered User fees automatically charged to your credit card. International customers must submit a valid credit card for payment, we can not accept checks at this time.

  7. How am I billed for adding or deleting students?

You may add or delete users, students, and groups from your TrainingDepartment.com system anytime. Your account will be charged only for the number of registered students or users that were on your system for the previous month. Your TrainingDepartment.com Administration tools allow you or other Administrators you designate to see at anytime how many students are registered, who your registered students are, their progress, and more, so you'll always know exactly what your costs will be.  [Return to Top]

  8. Who can access my billing information?

Only your TrainingDepartment.com billing contact and Administrators can view this gated information.  [Return to Top]

  9. How can I change my payment method?

If you are located in North America, you can change your billing method by sending an email to Billing@TrainingDepartment.com and requesting it, or by calling our Customer Satisfaction Center at 1-800-993-0240 Monday-Friday 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM Central Standard Time. Please leave a voice mail message if no one is available to take your call. It will be returned promptly.  [Return to Top]

  10. How can I cancel my account?

The originator of the TrainingDepartment.com account (usually the original Administrator) must call the Customer Satisfaction Center at 1-800-993-0240 Monday-Friday 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM Central Standard Time with the correct Administrator name and passcodes in order to verify identity. Or, you can request the same by emailing Billing@TrainingDepartment.com and requesting account cancellation.  [Return to Top]

  11. Can't I just go online and cancel?

No, for your protection, we require the original Administrator or designated Administrator to contact a TrainingDepartment.com Customer Satisfaction representative. Your TrainingDepartment.com site may contain important proprietary courses, information or data that we will not remove from your site or our system without authorized confirmation.

However, once cancellation is confirmed, we will close your account on the date you request, or within one business day. After your account is closed you will not have the same access to the site, so be sure you have downloaded any content that you wish to save. You will be billed for service through the end of the billing period only.  [
